He holds a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). From 1999 to 2014 he was director of the programme El Medi Ambient on TV3 and is currently a science editor for the news services of the same television station.

He has won the following literary prizes: Joan Fuster, Josep Vallverdú (twice), Joaquim Xirau, Mariano Vayreda, the European Prize for Scientific Dissemination "General Study" (twice), the Serra d’Or Critics' Prize and the National University Publishing Prize.
